Invest in Yourself

Exercise regularly. It is really important to take care of your health, so as well as sticking to a fairly healthy diet it is also important that you are active. Make time to do some physical activity most days, even if it is just a half hour walk if that is what you are comfortable with. If you sit at a desk most of the day, don’t forget to do some stretching.

Date yourself. Try to find some regular time for yourself. This is important so you can not only recharge your batteries but have some thinking time so you can ensure you are living the life you truly want and deserve to be living. We get so caught up in the day to day wants and needs of those around us that we often forget about ourselves.

Date your partner. Life often gets busy and we tend to take for granted those we love the most. Take time out of every week to spend quality time with your partner. Even if it something as simple as going for a walk together. It is really important to invest in your relationship to keep it healthy.

Dress for Success. Everybody has a different opinion on how to dress and that is great. What I am suggesting is that you dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable, relaxed and professional. Even if you are a stay at home Mum, Take care of yourself. Nothing makes you feel worse than spending all day in a tatty old tracksuit. So take the time to dress for yourself.

“You are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with” Jim Rohn

Choose your friends carefully. Some people just love to spread negativity, in fact they seem to thrive on it. It is hard to break away from these people as they seem to seek you out, and of course sometimes they are family members. If you do spend time with these people do not let them bring you down. Instead be grateful that you do not live your life in such a negative manner.

Plan for tomorrow, today. If you are a super busy person the best way to get organised is to plan your schedule the previous day. Prioritise the most important things first and so on. Don’t forget to take into account activity grouping when doing your planning so your day flows better.

“We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thought, we make our world.” Buddha

What you think about is what you will attract into your life. If you find yourself thinking negative thoughts, pull yourself up and change them into a positive. Not only will this make a difference to what you attract in your life you will also feel better emotionally. Thinking negatively brings us down, reduces effectiveness in what we need to do and can also affect those around us. Bad things do happen, but try not to turn every occurrence around you into a negative thought. Look for the positive.
